Marshall back as president
last night during their annual general meeting which lasted just under two hours at the Devonshire Recreation Club.
Marshall is presently off the island but had expressed his intention to run for a third term prior to his departure.
The only change to the executives was referee Peter Sousa replacing Kent Bascome as treasurer, Bascome having resigned earlier this year. Richard Thompson remains the first vice president and Elroy Ratteray the second vice president while the returning directors are Dr Gerard Bean, a former president of the association, Carlton (Pepe) Dill, Kenneth Perinchief and Gregory Grimes.
The new addition to the directors list is Fred Lewis who replaces Gil DeSousa.
The club representatives are Anthony Paynter, Sonya Holder, Kent Henry and Rex Osborne, the latter two replacing Allan Peacock and Fred Lewis.
The issue of the withdrawal of Hotels International from the First Division, and the subsequent reduction of the division to nine teams, will be discussed at a later date by the the new executives.
The auditors report was also accepted last night by the membership, having been previously presented to the executives on June 28.
"We are pleased to state that the association is in a respectable financial position, an encouraging outlook for the upcoming 1993-94 season,'' said new administrative assistant David Sabir afterwards.
