Bermuda's Under-23 squad defeated Jamaican professional outfit Harbour View 2-1 on Monday in their final tune-up for tomorrow night's contest against Canada.

Trailing 1-0 at half-time Bermuda stormed back to take the match with goals from Raynell (Manga) Lightbourne and Ottis Steede.

In what was described as an intense game that had one Harbour View player sent off, Bermuda was said to have controlled much of the action.

"That was a good match,'' said Bermuda coach Mark Trott yesterday.

Trott said that there was just one main injury worry, with Devonshire Colts player Marvin Lewis nursing a sore knee. Lewis, a utility player, was undergoing treatment to the injured area in hopes that it would respond favourably by tomorrow morning, when the team is due to be selected.

If not Trott said that arrangements would be made to return the youngster home for more detailed tests.

Meanwhile, striker Lamaul Crofton's calf ailment appeared to have healed, as the youngster was able to take part in an early morning training session.

However, a couple of other squad members were said to have experienced stomach problems, possibly due to the food, and Trott added that he was "keeping his fingers crossed that no one comes down with an injury or anything else before the match.'' It was learned, however, that calls have been sent out to original squad members who were cut to be on stand-by just in case the need arises for supplementary players to be sent to Jamaica.

Bermuda will have a day to recover following tomorrow's encounter before facing Canada again on Sunday in what will be Bermuda's `home' game.
