Race forms available

were placed in local sports outlets yesterday following complaints earlier this week that supplies had dried up.

Race Weekend secretary Pam Shailer confirmed that entry forms for the International 10K and Charity Walk (January 18) and International Marathon and Half-Marathon (January 19) had been delivered to the Pro Shop, Winner's Edge, International Sport Shop and Sportseller.

And while runners can, as usual, return their entries by post, they have also been given another option this year of depositing the forms in a `drop-off' box at Sportseller.

Entry fees this year are $10 for the charity walk, $15 for the 10K, $12 for the Half-Marathon and $20 for the Marathon. December 13 is the entry deadline although late entries will be accepted at an increased fee of $25.

Shailer reported that as of yesterday 75 entries had been received for the 10K, 57 for the Half-Marathon, 76 for the Marathon and five for the charity walk. The Bank of Butterfield Front Street Mile, which kicks off Race Weekend on Friday, January 17, is open only to those invited or who qualify in heats scheduled to take place next weekend. Entries for the mile heats closed yesterday.
