Smith, undefeated on local roads since his comeback in January, clocked 27 minutes and 33 seconds to win the race, 46 seconds ahead of Jamal Hart, who crossed the finish line in 28.19. Hart, who was last year's winner, improved on his time from last year by four seconds, while Colin Swan was third in 28.53.
Harry Patchett was fourth overall and first Master in 29.09 and Malcolm McEvoy was first senior with a time of 36.43.
Jennifer Fisher was first woman to cross the finish line and 19th overall in 35.32. Sarah Smith was second in 36.23 while Kimberley Murray was third in 39.12.
Edwina Arorash led the women's Masters in 40.13 and Donna Pagnam, who clocked 43.11, was first senior.
Henry Simpson led all Regiment members with a time of 34.07.
Swan's Running Club will hold their monthly meeting at the Department of Youth and Sport tomorrow evening at 7 p.m. Topics on the agenda will include the recently concluded Marathon Derby and upcoming club races.
