The Minister, currently seeking to help the club relocate from their base at Southside Raceway in St David's, was among the bumper crowd at the event.

A new format for racing was introduced on the day, with heats reduced from four to three, while laps were increased to a maximum of 20 for the Grand Prix class.

In the Mini Bikes, Paulo Silva did what he has been threatening to do for a long time, cleaning up in the last two heats after an indifferent performance in the opener.

Termel Simons was the next best rider, while newcomer Jody Carreiro came in third.

The Scooters are still having trouble fielding a full grid as mechanical failures tend to account for half the field before they even make the track.

Mark Lightbourn proved to be as swift as ever in the class and took the top honours, with David Jones on his Yamaha splitting the Benelli boys for second, Ricky Perriers having to settle for third.

The Stock/Modified class continues to grow and some close racing saw Kyle Pimental come out on top.

David Maycock put some race replica riders to shame on his 103 to take the runner-up spot and the much improved Patrick Groeing took third.

The Formula class was swelled by the inclusion of some fast riding Stock guys.

Vince Belboda was uncatchable at the head of the field as he headed off schoolboy Danny Simons. Ray Thompson came in third.

In the elite Grand Prix class, 20 laps made for some close racing as riders tired on the powerful machines.

Ray Masters is the man to beat and he managed to hold off the challenges of Shannon Caisey and Justin Belboda, who came in second and third respectively.

Next race day is scheduled for December 17.
