Stevedoring Services despite being without their top two bowlers in recent

Chris Leverock was high bowler for the winners while Gilbert DeCosta managed to post the night's second high series of 595.

Dr. Pepper cruised to a 21-9 win over New Mix Ups in this low scoring contest, though Chris Harris did manage to post the second high game of 224 for thet losers.

Franklin Travel crushed a short-handed Team Spirit 25-5 with Steven Wales having the only six for the night, posting a 614 series and 223 game. Franklin Travel rolled the team third high game of 937 and second high series of 2,721.

Marlboro continued its climb to the top with a 30-0 thrashing of Spoilers, with this representing the first whitewash recorded against a full team. It took a consistent team effort to accomplish the feat as Marlboro rolled the top team game of 942 and third high series of 2,707. Spoilers were completely outclassed, taking a beating by over 500 pins.

Thompson's upset Lite Ice 24-6 with all the games being fairly close. Vernon Daniels was high man for the winners, taking third high series while Oscar Andrade posted the top game of 226 to lead the losers. Thompson's also posted the top team series of 2,741.

Team and individual honours were evenly distributed during latest action in the Barritt's Sportsmen's League which saw Social Club emerge as the big winners, by a 24-3 margin over Warwick Reds.

Social Club rolled the top team game, 988, and second high series of 2,705 as Social Club led them with a 241 top game. Howard Francis chipped in with a second high series of 597 for the winners while Leroy Ming of Warwick Reds had a 576 series.

Sparks rolled a 2,711 top series and 927 game on their way to an 18-9 win over Mini Forwarders who also got on the honours board with their 943 second high game.

Reggie Saunders of Sparks had a 572 series and team-mate Hank Rawlins a 225 game. Chris Leverock of Mini Forwarders bowled a 235 game.

Buy and Sell beat Pembroke Juniors 16-11, thanks in part to their 2,645 series and 941 game. Jim Godwin led Buy and Sell with his top series of 624 and second high game of 237. Pembroke Juniors had a 2,667 series which was good for third.

In the other game Young Blood beat Warwick Whites 15-12.

Saturday's schedule: Mini Forwarders v Buy and Sell; Sparks v Warwick Whites; Pembroke Juniors v Warwick Reds; Social Club v Young Blood.

GOLF GLF Ocean View will hold a memorial tournament on Sunday for all past members.

The day will begin with a memorial service at the club and the executive committee is extending an invitation to all family members of those ex-members who have passed as well as current club members to participate in the tournament.

Those interested should be at the club by 7.30 a.m.
