Some 28 races are scheduled involving various disciplines -- freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley -- with competitors able to enter a maximum of three races.

The event marks the first time this year that swimmers will be able to do the longer distance races.

It also provides the opportunity to achieve the required triple A times needed in order to qualify for the Bermuda team that will travel to CCCAN in Mexico.

So far four swimmers, Tamika Williams, Nuri Latham, Stephen Troake and Paul Fox have qualified for the age group competition.

GOLF GLF Michael Sims captured Group IV honours during the recent Bermuda Junior Golf Association Tournament at Ocean View after carding a 75.

In Group III Jon Legere, Patrick Graham and Jeremy Drover tied for the top spot after each recorded rounds of 83.

Aaron James had things his way in Group II, his 13 hole total of 54 enough to defeat Charles Markey by four strokes.

Meanwhile, Anthony Smith's 46 over nine holes earned him the Group I title, just as Tim Ryan's 33 got him first place in the Novice category.

Ocean View will begin their series of Sunset Tournaments next Thursday evening and the general public is invited to participate in the nine hole events.
