West clinch another title

clinic at St. John's field yesterday, with the West seizing the Under-11 crown, while rain caused the Over-11 match to be abandoned.

Among the younger group West romped to a 63 run triumph, piling on 109 for three batting first as Shannon Raynor led the way with 46 from five fours and three sixes three sixes.

Other contributors with the bat were Gavin Manders (21) and Jekon Edness (23), as East bowlers received a lesson in futility.

In reply East could only muster 46 in their allotted 20 overs as they were tied down by strict bowling, with Furquay Crockwell (10) their only player in double figures.

In the Over-11 game East posted 73 for nine with Jerome Santucci scoring 15 not out and Andre Berkeley adding 14. Gregory Outerbridge was West's top bowler with two for one.

West had reached 45 for four when the heavens opened up. Jaimie Smith top scored with 19 not out.
