The battle to avoid relegation could start this weekend as bottom-of-the-table Colts take on sixth-placed Rangers in a potential six-pointer at Police Field.

Still without inspirational skipper Aljame Zuill, Colts will need to make something out of nothing in this match in order to climb off the bottom of the table by the end of the day's play.

Rangers will be looking to continue their consistent play that has seen them more than hold their own against some of their more fancied opponents since rising from the First Division.

Beating teams they are supposed to will be crucial and they will feel this is a match from which they can garner three valuable points.

North Village v

Dandy Town

If there was an ideal time for the Rams to bounce back, this would be as good as any. With Village only one point in front of the bottom three, a loss tomorrow could see them in seventh place if other results don't go their way.

And any thoughts of reaching the Dudley Eve to defend their crown could be discarded if they can't come away with a positive result.

Town will be adding Damon Ming to their ranks for this clash to go along with their already stacked attack.

If their back line can hold Village at bay, this should be a straightforward win. However, they must not be fooled by the Rams start to the campaign or it will be a frustrating day for Hornets fans.

Devonshire Cougars

v Boulevard

Enjoying cup success is always a good thing. However, sometimes injuries to key players comes with that success and Cougars will look to shuffle things around a bit following their recent 4-0 Martonmere Cup crushing of North Village.

In what was a hard-fought clash, both sides came out of the game bearing visible wounds with Domico Coddington being escorted to hospital and others suffering niggling injuries.

This may prove Cougars' ultimate undoing against a Blazers side who will be well rested for this top of the table clash.

Blazers have not kicked a ball for three weeks and this match is sure to have both sets of supporters on the edge of their seats.

For years, this clash between two of the top-flight giants has provided some tantalising displays of football and this encounter shouldn't be any different.

Prediction: 2-2
