The Island’s principals have come together at the beginning of the school year as part of an enterprise to foster a more collaborative approach to education.

The group urged the community to back the new initiative that involves senior and middle school principals from both the public and private sectors

The scheme has been championed by Imagine Bermuda and was launched in March.

In a joint statement the group said: “We recognise that while the process of education happens over an entire lifetime of the human experience, it goes without saying that school serves an important part in the development of the upcoming generation.

“We use this opportunity to remind parents that they have been their children’s first teachers and their roles remain key as that potential unfolds.”
