I believe Scots will say ‘no’ to independence

Let’s stay together: NO supporters at George Square, Glasgow, Scotland, wave the Union flag with the Royal Standard of Scotland

September 11, 2014

Dear Sir,

The debate on the Independence Referendum in Scotland has certainly taken over the front pages in the British Press.

I read the coments of Mr Everson and my friend Bob Stewart. I should mention why I am interested.

I am a graduate of St Andrews University, spent four years as a student in Dundee, and my daughter

Joy Pimental was born in Dundee. She is therefore a “Scottish lass”.

I have sent her an e-mail from the north of England to apologise for not registering her to vote!

I found Mr Everson’s comments confusing. He is for the YES vote for Scotland to go independent and

then gives all the reasons why it should stay as a member of the UK.

I have long recognised the character of the people of Scotland; not only very “careful with their money” but also careful with the decisions they make. I think they will be concerned about jumping into the unknown future and the vote, in my opinion, will be NO by as much as 4%.

If the vote goes to YES much of the fault will go directly to David Cameron and their Conservative Government who continually have ignored the Scottish people.
