Firefighters helped motorists after a three-vehicle collision yesterday.

They received a report of a crash involving two trucks and a van on Middle Road in Southampton near Five Star Island just after 3pm. A male cyclist had to abandon his bike after coming to a stop to avoid being hit.

The driver of one of the trucks was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
