Early-morning hit-and-run in Pembroke
Police are hunting a driver who left the scene of a crash between his car and a motorcycle yesterday.
A police spokesman said the motorcycle rider suffered a leg injury.
The crash happened as the rider headed west on North Shore Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Blackwatch Pass, and the westbound car attempted a U-turn. Police said the car driver, said to be a 30-year-old Pembroke man, checked on the injured rider before he left the scene on foot.
The 31-year-old injured man, also from Pembroke, was taken by ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police asked for the car driver, as well as any witnesses, to contact Constable Daischon Chin on 247-1704 or by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
