Island umpires in Belize

Four local umpires have been selected to officiate at the sixth annual Central American Championships in Belize next week.

Roger Dill, Craig Brangman, Oscar Andrade and James McKirdy will officiate in the tournament which features ten countries competing over five days, along with a team from the MCC.

While there the Bermuda umpires will also deliver a two-day umpiring course for persons interested in becoming umpires. Dill will also oversee the match officials. In the competition in the capacity of tournament referee.

Lloyd Fray, the BCB president, said: “I am very proud that we have been able to bring this opportunity to our local umpires to gain further international exposure for them.

“We are fortunate to have many umpires with ICC experience and the BCB continues to be fully committed to their development. I wish all four umpires the best of luck and look forward to them representing Bermuda with pride and passion on and off the field.”
