Shopping Centre plans cart area
area to its property.
Richard Bath & Associates, acting as agents for the applicant, MVA Ltd., has made some suggestions in regard to their client, a subsidiary of the MarketPlace supermarket chain.
In consultation with the Corporation of Hamilton, Richard Bath & Associates has expressed a need for such space to be designated for the storage and protection of shopping carts.
The addition will be aligned with an existing canopy over the main entrance of the store.
They explained this is to offer protection from the elements for customers as well as the carts.
Because there is no area suitable for storage, it was suggested that the proposed area be adjacent to the entrance of the store for convenient access.
According to the agents: "The existing layout cannot accommodate the shopping carts without significant loss of retail space which the clients cannot afford given existing space limitations.''
