Butterfield steady on high volume

Unchanged: The Royal Gazette/BSX Index did not move despite strong trading activity in Butterfield shares
The Bank of Butterfield’s share price remained at $23.50 in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading today, as more than 24,000 of its shares changed hands.
On the New York Stock Exchange, Bank of Butterfield shares rose 5 cents to $24.55.
The bank’s preference shares rose $21, or 2 per cent, to $1,051 after ten shares sold.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged at 1,542.77.
The BSX Insurance Index went up 1.59 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 1,659.50.
