Shaun Goater took a trip to the Barclays Premier League club’s Cape Town Cityzens Giving project to experience first-hand the work the young leaders are doing to empower girls and provide education about HIV and Aids.

More than 2,200 young people have already been positively impacted by Cityzens Giving young leaders in the nine community football projects around the world.

The Manchester, New York and Melbourne projects ave trained more than 60 young leaders who are regularly delivering to more than 400 children and young people in local schools and communities.

Goater attended the event with his former City strike partner Paul Dickov in March.

“I’m absolutely amazing by it,” Goater, the former Bermuda striker, said. “The Cityzens Giving project is awesome. These girls are really inspiring.”
