Experts to discuss stress and its effects

The Employee Assistance Programme is set to host its annual general meeting this morning with a panel of guest speakers.

The panel discussion, titled “Stress the Current Reality”, will feature presentations by Patrick Tannock of the Association of International Companies and XL Catlin Bermuda, Sandy DeSilva of Family Centre and Claudette Fleming of Age Concern.

While Mr Tannock will tackle organisational stresses and mergers, Dr DeSilva will talk about how stress is affecting families on the Island and Ms Fleming will discuss eldercare issues and the stresses of the employees caring for Bermuda’s seniors.

A local employee assistance provider, EAP has been in operation in Bermuda for more than 25 years, assisting the employees of member companies to deal with personal challenges through confidential, solution-focused counselling.
