Rangers and Bay march on

Dion Stovell's Southampton Rangers are the defending T20 champions

Southampton Rangers and Bailey’s Bay have advanced to this weekend’s Twenty20 semi-finals from group B, after Somerset Cricket Club missed out on net run-rate in a three-way tie for the two spots.

All three teams finished on four points from three matches, with defending champions Rangers placing first in the group to earn a meeting with Flatts in Sunday’s first Premier Division semi-final at Lord’s. St David’s, winners of group A, meet Bailey’s Bay in the second semi-final.

The two First Division semi-finals will be played at Wellington Oval, where Western Stars take on Somerset Bridge at 11am and St George’s host Devonshire Recreation Club at 3pm. The two finals are scheduled for June 6 at a venue still to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, the Logic First Division match tomorrow at St John’s Field will pit Bermuda Under-18s against PHC. Warwick were the original opponents but the June 27 match has been brought forward.

A full slate of Logic Premier and First Division matches are scheduled for tomorrow as the league campaign finally gets underway.

Defending champions St David’s have a bye as Cleveland County host Somerset at Wellington Oval, Willow Cuts play Bailey’s Bay at Somerset and Southampton Rangers entertain promoted Flatts at Southampton Oval.

In the First Division, Western Stars meet Warwick at St John’s Field, PHC take on St George’s at PHC Field and Devonshire Recreation Club are at home to Somerset Bridge.
