The man, who has not been named, was flown off his ship by helicopter on Saturday morning.
He was taken to the international airport and transported by ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
A spokesman for Harbour Radio was unable to describe the nature of the man's injuries but they are not thought to be life-threatening.

But the sole crew member of the 17-foot boat got his position wrong by several miles and was found by a Police patrol boat six miles northwest, off Eastern Blue Cut, and towed to shore.
Earlier, the 35-foot yacht Thetis called for help after her engine failed and she became becalmed in light winds off Spanish Point.
A passing boat took it in tow and brought the boat and its seven crew into harbour.

The Dockyard Shuttle Company's private ferry was successfully rescued from Stag Rocks by Renaud Marine early on Friday morning at high tide and returned relatively unscathed to its mooring at Dockyard.
Harbour Radio said the 60-foot ferry ran aground on Thursday evening on the shoal between Dockyard and Spanish Point. There were no passengers aboard.
