Warwick Reds were second on the team honours list with a 2,612 series and 917 game as Victor Simons had a top series of 609. Social Club beat Youngblood 15-12 with Ivan Trott bowling a 226 third high game for the winners. Social Club had a 908 third high game.

Harold Trott and Harry Bean of Warwick Whites led their team to a 20-7 win over Pembroke Jrs. Trott had a 589 series and second high game of 230 while Bean topped the games list with his 242. Whites claimed the third high team honours with a 2,608 and fourth high game of 899.

In the other game Mini Forwarders beat Sparks 17-10 after having a 2,578 series.

Troublemakers bowled the top team series 2,102 and game 756 on their way to a 4-0 win over Strikers in the Mixed Majors League.

Traci Lambe led Troublemakers with a 590 top women's series and 225 high game while Jerry Waldron of Strikers had a third high game and series of 198 and 547.

Dynamic Four were second on the list with their 2,084 and 750 as they also won 4-0, over Trojans. Keith Wilson led the winners with a 219 second high men's game and 603 second high series.

Dolphins grabbed the other spot on the team list with the third high series and game of 2,069 and 723 on their way to a 3-1 win over E&C Well Drilling.

Keith Wilson of Dolphins had a 610 top series and 233 high game while Glenn Tuzo supported with a 551 series.

B's and G's beat Mix ups 3-1 despite Peaches Perinchief's 570 second high seies and 225 game which tied for first.

In the other match Last Minutes blanked Untouchables 4-0 as Howard Francis had a 203 third high game in a losing cause.

Play mostly went according to form during latest action in the Miller High Life Bowling League, with leaders Tool and Equipment solidifying their position on the tails of a thunderous 25-5 hammering of Stevedoring Services.

Once again it was top gun Dean Lightbourne heading the charge for Equipment, registering a second high series of 617, which contributed to an overall team series score of 2,822.

Casey Burgess had a fine 606 series in a losing effort, as the power of Equipment proved to great for Services.

Also continuing in a strong vein was Goslings, which bullied their way to a 20-10 triumph against a short-handed Signature outfit.

Hilton Hayward top-scored for the victors, but it was a total team effort that really pushed them over the edge. They ended with the night's best score of 2,842.

Ricky Lines star also continued to shine as he helped Marlboro "smoke'' New Mix-Ups 26-4.

In remaining games Thompsons defeated Team Spirit 26-4 and Terminators downed Spoilers 20-10.

EQUESTRIANISM RAH Eddo Hoekstra made up for last year's failure, where he could only manage second, by seizing the FEI/Samsung Dressage competition.

Torrential rain failed to halt the charge of Hoekstra, riding Capodimonte, as he totalled 440 in defeating last year's winner Suzanne Ericsson on Colonel by six points.

Third was Madeleine Axelsson (397), while Susan Leighton rounded out the top four (374).

In addition the top three scores counted towards the team total of 1271, which go forward against those registered by other countries in the group, Mexico, Costa Rica, Columbia, Honduras and Peru.

A pair of top English judges, Domini Morgan and Brigitte Bergsten, were in attendance at the local event and were reportedly impressed by the showings of the locals.
