A goal in each half saw First Divisiion leaders Hamilton Parish Hot Peppers edge Somerset Eagles at White Hill yesterday.

Parish, the first team in the division to qualify for the Dudley Eve this year, snatched a 1-0 lead at the interval thanks to a goal after 40 minutes by Robert Somner.

Captain Kiaya Darrell had a penalty saved to hinder their chances of finshing the opening half with a comfortable two-goal lead.

Jamie Smith added their second midway through the second half only to see Eagles fight back to make it 2-1. Parish then had Jakai Outerbridge sent off but the visitors defence held firm and prevented home side Eagles from doing any further harm.

St. David's 1

Social Club 1

Woeful finishing by home side St. David's prevented them from snatching the maximum points they were expected to take from this clash at Lord's.

They took a 1-0 lead through Gregory Outerbridge after 19 minutes but were unable to find the goal again before the half.

Social Club then stunned the home side by scoring through Clay Darrell afrter 54 minutes but St. David's fought back bravely and pinned down their opponents for long spells. But sluggish finishing by Aaron Crockwell, Desmond Crockwell and Angelo Cannonier let Social Club off the hook.

Social Club had a couple of chances themselves, with Darrell and Nathan Simons unable to put the ball away.

St. David's could have wrapped it up at the end but Dejuan Paynter's shot was palmed away against the post by goalkeeper Tiko Hassell.

Wolves 1

St. George's 3

At Devonshire Rec., St. George's came from behind to dominate their hosts and emerge comfortable winners.

Vince Minors struck home a penalty after 14 minutes to put Wolves ahead but St. George's remained competitive and were unlucky when Kyle Williams missed a penalty after 22 minutes which would have levelled the score.

Second-half honours went to the visitors who equalised through Kuma Smith after 57 minutes and went ahead 2-1 through Jade Foggo after 67 minutes. Detroy Smith got the third after 78 minutes shortly before the eastenders were reduced to 10 men when Williams was sent off.
