Nice to be appreciated
October 12, 2009
Dear Sir,
We want to express our special thanks to Spelunking Bermudian (September 16, 2009) for the "Kudos to Crystal Caves" letter. It is so nice to have our efforts and our care over the generations appreciated. Don't ever lose the skip to your step!

Supermarket steps up
October 9, 2009
Dear Sir,
Thank you for bringing in new products like "Earth Balance's buttery spread" and Galaxy veggie "cheese". There are a growing number of persons who have various allergies and are looking for quality products as a substitute.
I am severely allergic so any products in our grocery stores is welcomed. The best thing is that the products actually taste great. Can you find potato milk? Not all of us can have soy or rice "milk".

Keep your receipts
October 10, 2009
Dear Sir,
I deem it my civic duty to help Bermudians who wish to "Buy Bermuda" in order to help the local economy.
Some 16 months ago, I purchased a camera from P-Tech which recently needed to be repaired. When I took it back to P-Tech I was told to produce the receipt.
Unfortunately I was unable to do so at that time but I was fortunate in that the manager asked me to bring the camera in and he would try to sort out the problem.
Approximately two weeks later I was able to find the receipt and decided to email it to P-Tech. The response was that it was fortunate that I had found the receipt because the company "Olympus" would not consider fixing the camera without it.
And so my fellow shoppers, if you decide to purchase any item which may need to be repaired please keep your receipt.

WHDH still available
October 13, 2009
Dear Sir,
In response to the letter, "Missing WHDH", which appeared in The Royal Gazette today, I would like to reassure your readers that WHDH Boston is still available to Bermuda CableVision subscribers on Channel 98. We took the decision when we launched the Africa Channel in September to change the channel line-up to accommodate this new, informative and unique offering on Channel 6. Both channels are available to all of our subscribers as they form part of our Basic Economy Tier.
The introduction of the Africa Channel was part of CableVision's drive towards ensuring that our Basic Economy Tier appeals to the diverse population of Bermuda. Over the last few months, we have been gathering feedback from our subscribers in a series of public meetings across the island called "Saturdays with the GM". CableVision is working hard to ensure that it responds to this feedback and that we continue to satisfy the needs of our varied customer base.

A chance to reconcile
October 13, 2009
Dear Sir,
Reconciliation is of importance and of particular importance right now. The UBP may elect Bob Richards as its leader who will then achieve the overdue reconciliation with the UBP splinter group, and form the Bermuda Democratic Alliance.
Bob Richards will then have the opportunity of following in the footsteps of his father, Sir Edward Richards who, in 1971, succeeded Sir Henry Tucker as Government leader and later became Premier of Bermuda.
