A Fire Service report in Monday's newspaper incorrectly reported a flooding in an office at the Monte Carlo Restaurant. The flooding occurred in Oscar's bar below.

A 17-year-old Somerset man has been arrested over the alleged rape of a teenage girl.

CID officers are probing claims the 14-year-old girl was raped on the Railway Trail in Sandys Parish in the early hours yesterday.

"Inquiries are continuing,'' said Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning yesterday.

APPEAL HAND-OUT FNR Needy families were encouraged to pick up free goods at Lindo's supermarket on Saturday on a first come, first served basis.

The items were collected to send to refugees of the war in Bosnia, but the amount donated was too large to fit into the appeal's two shipping containers.

Both containers are now on their way to Bosnia, and the appeal has ended.

Organiser Mrs. Lucy Willitts said: "Although we would love to fill another container it has been a long 10 days standing over 90 hours in the sun to receive the donations. Everything must be labelled and listed on an inventory.

Also there is a cost factor. For shipping the two containers the cost is over $5,000.'' MISSING TEENS POL Police yesterday sent out a fresh appeal for help over three missing teenage girls.

And they have warned it is an offence to harbour them.

Thirteen-year-old Darricka Williams and Charlita Spencer, 14, have been missing since last Tuesday from the Brangman Home.

Darricka is dark skinned, 5ft 3in, heavily built, and has dark shoulder length hair.

Charlita is light skinned, 5ft 4in, slimly built, and also has shoulder length hair.

Seventeen-year-old Portuguese girl, Celia Brandao, has been missing from home since April 30 following a family row. She is 5ft 4in, 110lbs, and has long dark brown hair and blue eyes.

TAXI CRASHES TRA A taxi-driver swerved off a West End road late at night and crashed into the rocks below, Police reported.

The 32-year-old Sandys man was unhurt in the crash on Malabar Road around 11 p.m. last Thursday, but the taxi was badly damaged.

Police said it appeared the driver had swerved to avoid a dog which ran out in front of him.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

RESTAURANT FLOOD FIR Firemen were alerted on Friday night after water from an air-conditioning unit flooded the Monte Carlo restaurant in Victoria Street, Hamilton. An office ceiling was damaged.

A property at Mary Victoria Road in Devonshire was also flooded over the weekend. Tile floors were under half an inch of water.

Firemen, using water vacuums, went to the scene at about 8 a.m. yesterday.

VAN OVERTURNS FIR Ten firemen were called out after a van overturned outside Tom Moore's Tavern in Bailey's Bay at about 6.30 a.m. yesterday. No one was hurt.

Meanwhile, fire officers are investigating a blaze which partially destroyed a motor bike on Frog Lane, Devonshire. Nine firefighters went to the blaze at about 4.30 p.m. on Friday.

CAUGHT IN THE ACT CTS A man who urinated in public in late afternoon was fined $150 in Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Dane Vaughn Robinson was seen urinating in a corner of Par-La-Ville car park on April 30, said prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James. "You can't be arresting me for taking a p...,'' Robinson told Police.

The 24-year-old Belco lineman, of High Point Road, Spanish Point, admitted offensive behaviour.

FALSE NAME CTS Giving a false name to Police cost Freedom Campbell a $300 fine in Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The court heard the 23-year-old was stopped on a livery cycle by Police on South Road in Paget on February 21. He gave them an false name, said prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James.

Campbell, of Pearman Hill, Warwick, admitted the offence.
