Former Berkeley Institute and Bermuda College student Shay-Coy Ra?Cal Bridgewater has graduated from Ohio State University with a Ph.D in School Psychology.
During her graduate studies, Dr. Bridgewater was a graduate assistant; a member of Ohio State?s Psychology Urban Research Team; secretary of the OSU School of Psychology Student Organization and a member of the National Association of School Psychologists.
The Spelman College graduate completed a comprehensive school psychology internship in Columbus, Ohio public schools.
Shay-Coy?s parents, Calvin and Stephanie Bridgewater, sister, Cal-Nika Bridgewater and other family members attended the graduation on June 11.
Timothy J. Schaffner, of Bolivar, New York was on the Dean?s List for the spring 2006 semester at Saint Francis University.

Melanie Hitchcock, daughter of Mark and Betsy Hitchcock of Middle Road, Southampton was named to the Cedarville University Dean?s List for the 2006 Spring semester.
Melanie is a Sophomore majoring in Middle Childhood Education. Cerdarville University is an accredited Christian university of arts, science and professional programmes.
To be named to the Cedarville University Dean?s List, a student must earn a 3.75 GPA for the semester, be carrying at least 12 semester hours, and have a no grade lower than a ?B? for the semester.

Michael Shrubb, son of Paul and Heather Shrubb of Pembroke, was honoured at the 116th Commencement Exercises of The Taft School, Watertown, Connecticut, with the 1908 Medal.
This award is made each year to the member of the Senior Class whose influence has done most for the school. Michael also received an Athletic Award.
Michael had the honour of giving the welcome address during the commencement and laying the Class of 2006 Commemorative Brick in the Centennial Hall Building.
During his four years at Taft, Michael served on his Class Committee and in his Senior year was elected by the student body to the position of Head Monitor. He was awarded the Dartmouth Book Award for intellectual and extra-curricular leadership in 2005. He was a member of the Taft improvised Drama Group.
While attending Taft Michael played on the Varsity Squash team for four years and was captain for the 2005/2006 season leading the team to its fourth consecutive Founders League Championship, a second-place finish in the New England Interscholastic Championships and a fifth-place finish in the US High School Championships.
He also played on the Varsity Lacrosse Team for three years and earned a Varsity letter for Track and Field. He was awarded the Boys Squash Award in 2006 and a Founders Leagues Sportsmanship Award in 2004.
Michael will be attending Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in September.
Founded in 1890, The Taft School is an independent coeducational school of 460 boarding and 105 day students in grade nine through twelve.

Berkeley Institute graduate Shayna J. A. Smith has graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor?s degree in Sociology and Social Anthropology on May 23, 2006. Attending the graduation ceremony in Halifax were her parents Pastor G. Dean and Jonelle Smith.
Shayna has been accepted at the University of Pennsylvania, to do her graduate studies. Shayna will pursue a Masters in Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania beginning in September.

Benjamin Winfield graduated in May 2006 from St. Mary?s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and dual minors in Creative Writing and Film Studies.
Ben will be pursuing further education in creative writing and film and is currently submitting short stories to various literary publications. In the New Year he will attend the New York Film Academy at Oxford University, studying digital filmmaking, and in 2007 will be submitting a full length movie script as part of his application to the Creative Screenwriting Programme at the prestigious Canadian Film Centre in Toronto.
Ben is the son of Lynne Winfield of Cavello Bay, Somerset and Michael Winfield of Somerset Bridge.

Ashley Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Thomas E. C. Miller of Paget graduated recently from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree (Summa cum laude) with Highest Honors in French Studies.
The subject of her Honors thesis was ?Manet Mediates: Baudelaire and Zola?s Modern Art Criticism.? She was a recipient of the Ranee? Bray Prize for French. Her minors were in Art History and Dance and her Grade Point Average was 3.8/4.0.
Ashley spent her Junior Year in Paris attending the Emory, Duke, Cornell study programme at the Universite Pantheon-Sorbonne and Universite Denis-Didirot. Her subjects were Art History and French Literature and she interned in the curatorial department at the Musee d?Art Americain in at Giverny.
Ashley attended the Bermuda High School for Girls and St. Paul?s School, Concord, New Hampshire where she graduated Magna cum laude with Distinction in Sciences, Foreign Languages and Dance. Ms Miller hopes for a career as an art or museum curator.
