final.
Scores: Western Stars 124 (30 overs), Nationals 127-7 (26.1 overs).
Stars were led in their batting by J.Robinson with 36 while A.Campbell scored 17 and Audley Pitcher 16. Kiare Hollis was the top bowler for Nationals with three for 13 from four overs while R.Peniston took two for 28 and C.Hill two for 19 from six overs.
After the first three Nationals batsmen failed to reached double figures, Marshall, the nephew of Charlie Marshall, led from the front in his knock of 72 while L.Simmons was the only other player in double figures with 18.
Pitcher led the Stars bowling with three for 37 from six overs with A.Smith taking two for 14 off four overs.
Headed by Cup Match players Charlie Marshall and Wendell Smith, a group of youngsters from the St. George's Community Centre departed yesterday on their nine-day, three-match tour of Toronto, Canada.
Their first match will be played tomorrow against the Toronto under 15 Schools Select before taking on a Toronto District under 15 team on Friday and another Toronto under 15 team in their final match on Monday.

ROAD RUNNING RUN Bermuda's runners gave a good account of themselves on Sunday, when they competed with some of the world's best in the Falmouth Road Race in Massachusetts.
Brett Forgesson led home the eight-strong Bermuda contingent, coming in 53rd out of 5,400 finishers. A further 2,500 unofficial runners also completed the 7.1-mile race which was won by Benson Masya of Kenya in a time of 31:52.
Forgesson was just over five minutes back in 37:04, ahead of Tracy Wright (70th in 37:53), and Kevin Tucker (115th in 39:17). Neil de St.Croix was 120th in 39:24, with Jeremy Ball completing the Bermuda men's challenge.
First among the Bermuda women was Anna Eatherley, who was 41st female in a time of 43:57, behind winner Lynn Jennings of the US (36:13).
Wilma van Onna of Holland, the reigning ADT Bermuda 10-K champion, was second.
Lynn Kynoch was second among the Bermuda women, clinching a spot in the top 50. Margaret Hateley, who won the draw prize, and master Debby Graham, completed the picture.
The eight athletes were accompanied to Falmouth by the Bermuda Track and Field Association's vice-president (road running) Ian Greatorex.
SAILING SLG Malcolm Smith and Julie Grayston sailed their silver-grey Snipe Top Gun to victory in two of four races held off the Spanish Point Boat Club on Friday.
Guy Eldridge and crew Julia Van Beelen started at the favoured leeward end of the starting line and won the first race. But, from that point on, Top Gun took over and won the remaining three races, twice with Smith at the helm and once with Richard Feeney and Jennifer Lovel in control.
Smith finished with 41 points. He was followed by Christian Luthi and Court Crane who put together a consistent string of second and third place finishes to end up with 10 points. Eldridge placed third with 153 points.
Also showing speed at times were Derek Ratteray and visiting American Comet sailor James Hilton with second and third place finishes in individual races in the nine-boat fleet.
SOFTBALL SOF Division winners Royals and third place finishers Eaglettes will battle in the women's championship series, starting on Thursday, following their two-game play-off wins over Jets and Warwick Reds on the weekend.
Royals beat Jets 12-7 on Friday evening and then eliminated them the following night with a 11-1 thrashing. Eaglettes beat Warwick Reds 2-0 in their first meeting and then 5-4 in the clincher the following night.
The finals have been brought forward to accommodate some overseas college students who will soon be returning to school.

SWIMMING SW A total of four records were set during Harbour Amateur Swim Club's three-day meet at the BASA pool at the weekend.
William Massey continued to improve and was responsible for three of the four records. On Thursday the 12-year-old youngster set two -- the first in the 100m butterfly in 1:12.81 (old record 1:13.07) and the second in the 50m freestyle in 27:22 (old 27:50).
Then, on Saturday, Massey continued his record-breaking streak when he lowered his butterfly time still further to 1:11:54.
Eleven-year-old Matthew Hammond broke a record held by fellow national team member Stephen Fahy in the 100m butterfly, turning in a time of 1:15.88 against the old record of 1:16.49.
The visiting swimmers from Canada and United States were extremely competitive and often had three competitors reaching each final.
The week of swimming activities concluded yesterday evening with a challenge meet matching the best of Bermuda against the best of the visitors in a team event.
TENNIS TEN James Collieson and Jens Birkenheim provided the upset of the Reefs Junior Open when they defeated top seeds Wazim Khan and Lucien Adan in the final of the boys 18 doubles.
The local pair downed the US duo 5-7, 6-4, 6-2.
The last junior tournament of the season, the Colgate-Palmolive National Championships, starts next Monday at the Stadium. Entries close on Saturday at 6 p.m.
