Final day for cheap air fares

The airline is offering cut-rate fares of under $350 for round-trip tickets to Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. The prices include local and departure taxes.

Sale fares are effective for travel on Tuesdays through Fridays with a minimum stay of three days and a maximum of 30.

In addition, round-trip tickets to Boston are available for $341.00 including taxes.

The Boston sale ends October 24 and fares are valid for travel every day with no length of stay required.

Additional airline rules and restrictions apply for all sale tickets.

STUDENTS VOLUNTEER FOR ONE HOSPITAL MURAL . . .

CLB HOS Students volunteer for one hospital mural...

The Bermuda College Volunteer Corps (CVC) is soon to start its third project in an effort to benefit the community.

CVC volunteer coordinator Chernell King said the group will paint a wall mural at St. Brendan's Psychiatric Hospital.

The mural, designed by CVC art director Tripp West, is of an underwater scene and will be displayed at the entrance to the boutique.

"We aim to incorporate our skills, as the youth of Bermuda, in order to give back to the community'' said Miss King.

She also stated that not only did they wish to serve the community, but to "have a lot of fun'' as well.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 19 and 20.

Anyone wishing to volunteer their time to the project is encouraged to call the CVC voice mail line on 291-5377 and leave their name and contact number.

No particular artistic skills are required and the group will welcome those who just show up, Miss King added.

Food, drink and T-shirts will be available to all volunteers and painting materials will be provided.

. . . AS KING EDWARD LAUNCHES CONTEST HOS ...As King Edward launches contest The Bermuda Hospitals Board will today launch an Outside Art Competition for an exhibit to be permanently displayed in front of King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after its renovations are complete.

The contest is open to all residents of Bermuda.

The winning entry should symbolise the hospital's role as a caregiver in the community.

The competition's panel of judges include BHB chairman Clement Talbot and local architect John Gardner.

The BHB has allocated $50,000 to cover the cost of constructing and installing the winning design, .

ROCK AND ROLL CONCERT ENT Rock and Roll concert A "Soulful Rock and Roll'' Concert in Victoria Park promises to "heat up the park and soothe the soul'' this Sunday.

The concert, which begins at 6 p.m. and will be emceed by Wendill Dill, will feature the bands, Last Rights, Prestige, Tempo, Keystone, Xtacy and Justice.

Refreshments will be served by the Lions Canteen and the public is also encouraged to bring along a picnic supper.

MILK SPILLED AT FARM CRM Milk spilled at farm Owners of Westover Farm are crying foul over spilled milk.

Police yesterday reported that someone entered the dairy facility on Daniel's Head in Sandys and released 1,600 quarts of milk down the drain.

A gate tap to a milk vat was removed which in turn caused the milk to be spilled, Police spokeswoman Evelyn James Barnett said.

The incident was believed to have occurred during Wednesday night. It was discovered early on Thursday morning.

A 42-year-old St. George's man has reported the theft of a white 10 horsepower Evinrude engine from his sailboat while it was moored at Great Bay, St.

David's last weekend.
