The Luxurious Spa at Tucker's Point Hotel is devoted to giving it's customers an authentic high level Spa experience.
Eight treatment rooms situated around a serene courtyard featuring a reflection pool and sun loungers for clients to relax before or after their treatments. Umbrellas reminiscent of frilly ladies swimming caps offer shade.
Inside the Spa boasts a special Silver Tag shower giving a powerful hydro massage.
140 different treatments are available and classified into collections, such as the Bermuda, Orient, Aqua Therapy and Flowers collection.
Many of the treatments are based on natural ingredients found in Bermuda, for example Cedar and Lily. The former providing the main ingredient in the popular Cedar Warming Massage. A bit more unusual is the Swizzle Manicure, inspired by Bermuda's favorite drink.
Spa Director Paul Telford explained: "I want to create a Five Star Spa providing authentic and high level treatments with a focus on training and quality."
One example is the Indian Ayurvedic Doctor who was brought in to train the staff in giving Shirodhara Ayurvedic massage treatment aimed at calming the nervous system.
For facials the Spa uses the Spanish range 'Germaine de Capuccini. The brand is known for its focus on results and has a huge Research and Development department.
Some of the Therapies are based on yummy ingredients such as wine, chocolate and coffee. For those with a more exclusive taste there are the 'Glamorous Gold' and 'Hydrating Pearl' Therapies involving full body wraps.
Bermudian Mr. Telford who has eight year's experience as Spa Manager at Four Seasons Hotels in Washington DC and Mexico came back to Bermuda in May of last year to work at Tucker's Point. He is very excited to have had the opportunity to manage the Spa from its conception. He said: "We want to be able to provide all services guests would want while they are here."
Tucker's Point Hotel opened on April 17 and was fully booked over the Bermuda Day weekend.
The Spa is open from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. seven days per week. It is only open for guests staying at Tucker's Point Hotel and members of Tucker's Point Club.
