Heroin found in man?s hair
A 50-year-old Pembroke man pleaded guilty to drugs charges in Magistrates? Court on Tuesday after Police found heroin in his hair.
Roderick Tucker, of Curving Avenue, was fined $600 by Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner. Crown counsel Cindy Clarke told the court that Police were on patrol in the Middletown area of Hamilton on August 14, 2006, when they saw two men completing a hand-to-hand transaction.
When Police stopped, one of the men one ran off but Tucker remained and was searched.
Police found a twist containing 0.21 grams of diamorphine hidden in his hair under his cap.
Tucker was given until March 3 to pay the fine.
Trespassing charge
A 22-year-old man appeared in Magistrates? Court on Tuesday charged with trespassing, using threatening words and using offensive language.
Landro Minors, of Cove Valley Road, St. George?s, pleaded not guilty to the charges which relate to offences which allegedly occurred on September 15, 2006 at Great Bay in St. George?s.
Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner set Minors for trial on April 9.
