countries in a "March for Jesus''.

Organisers say the march is an event to proclaim their faith to their city, country and to the world.

Participants will gather at Crow Lane, Paget, at 1 p.m. for prayers and worship and the march will begin at 2 p.m. sharp.

The route of the march will be west along East Broadway and Front Street and then north on Court Street.

The march continues west along Angle Street, south on Princess Street, and west on Dundonald Street, and turns south on Washington Street into Victoria Park.

Members of the public who cannot complete the march can join it where convenient and others are welcome at Victoria Park for praise and fellowship.

Local organiser Muriel Archer said the March is a display of praise, prayer, proclamation, unity, and visibility. "It is about taking down walls that separate us as denominations,'' Mrs. Archer said.

The services at Victoria Park will be divided into global and local programmes.

In the global programme, Bermudians will take part in prayers for Comoros who will do the same for us.

"The Comoros is an island between mainland Africa and Madagascar,'' Mrs.

Archer said. "There are more than a half million people, but only a thousand Christians.'' A particular mission for the March for Jesus is the Prayer for the Suffering Church.

"We will pray for Christians in countries where they are under persecution, for their beliefs,'' she added.

Last evening, volunteers took part in a prayer march to bless the route before the main march today.

"Joshua 14:9 says `Wherever you place your feet, there is your inheritance','' Mrs. Archer said. "We do it to reclaim the streets in the name of Jesus.''
