Southampton Rangers continued to hold onto first place in Group B of the Twenty/20 League with a comfortable 13-run victory at Lord's yesterday in a game reduced to 10 overs apiece after the poor condition of the wicket delayed the start.

Spearheading the West Enders to victory were former national team players, player/coach Janeiro Tucker and wily spinner Dwayne (Sluggo) Leverock).

All-rounder Tucker led their batting with a brisk 44 while Shannon Raynor followed on 16 not out. Leverock hit an unbeaten 15 and Kwame Tucker also 15.

Ronald Gibbons was the top bowler for Flatts, finishing with two wickets for nine in his two-over spell.

Flatts made a spirted effort to reach their target but just didn't have sufficient firepower to launch a successful fightback. Dean Minors led the batting charge with 26 while Regino Smith chipped in with 20 and veteren Phillip Burgess 11.

Leverock was the best bowler for Rangers with three wickets for six runs off two overs. Keith Wainwright grabbed two for nine off two overs with a maiden from his slow spinners and Malachi Jones took two for 24 off two overs.

St. George's 109-6

Bailey's Bay 112-2

Bailey's Bay maintained their challenge for top spot with a comfortable eight-wicket win over St. George's at Lord's where Rodney Trott cracked a crisp 46 while Jermaine Outerbridge struck 33.

Veteran Corey Hill took three wickets for 16 for the Sea Breeze Oval-based team.

Ryan Steede top scored for St. George's with 28 and Gregg Foggo contributed 23. Herbie Bascome finished unbeaten on 27.

PHC 157-1

Western Stars 53

Fiqre Crockwell and Jason Anderson put Western Stars to the sword as PHC demolished their opponents by 104 runs at Police Field.

Crockwell (86) and Anderson (52) put their side in a commanding position, posting 157 runs in 19 overs.

Stars skipper Justin Robinson took the lone wicket for his club.

Cal Waldron then took five wickets for PHC as they dismissed Stars for a meagre 53 runs in their pursuit for victory.

Kevin Tucker also got in the act, taking two wickets while Anthony Hayward top scored with 15 for Stars.

Somerset Bridge 72-8

Police Recreation Club 74-5

Police won this match against Somerset Bridge by five wickets, thanks in part to veteran Clevie Wade.

With rain limiting the game to 16 overs per side, Bridge managed to score 72 in their allotted overs.

Wade led Police with a solid knock of 46 as his side scored 74 runs in 12 overs.

Willow Cuts 46-3

Devonshire Rec 26-0

Willow Cuts and Devonshire Rec. shared the points at Somerset Cricket Club after their match was stopped due to contiuing rain.

Cuts scored 46 in their five overs with Ryan Shepherd hitting 20.

Oladapo Frederick snatched all three wickets for nine runs.

Devonshire were 26 without loss after three overs before rain put a halt to the match.

n Two games scheduled for Sea Breeze Oval were not played.

Social Club, who failed to produce a team a day earlier, again forfeited their match against Cleveland while the wet pitch prevented any play between Warwick and St. David's at the same venue.

The match between Somerset and Leg Trappers also never got underway.
