The Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation announced details of the summer days camps for primary school children which will be held at eight schools.

They are St. George's Secondary, Harrington Sound, Elliott, Devon Lane, Dellwood, Paget Primary, Warwick Secondary and Somerset Primary.

They will run on Monday to Friday for five weeks from July 5, from 9 a.m. to 5.45 p.m. The cost is $25 per week.

Parents who wish to register their children from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will have a lesser fee of $15 per child per week.

There will be two teen summer camps this year. The Fashion, Dance and Drama Camp will be based at St. Paul's AME Centennial Hall which will run for six weeks from July 12. It provides opportunities for 50 young people to develop their artistic skills in these areas.

The Teen Variety Camp, running from August 2-27, will feature a number of outdoor activities, including two overnight camps lasting two or three days.

Parents can register their children for the primary school camps at the Department's boardroom starting Monday.

Registration for the teen camps begins on Monday, June 14 with a cost of $20 per child.
