senior tournament in the US.
Sixteen-year-old Nick Kyme picked up the Hartford Golf and Racquets Club Graded Tournament title at the 5.0 level, beating team-mate Chris Olsen in the final.
Kyme, who was seeded three, earlier put out Paul Assiente, Trinity University's squash coach and a participant in early Bermuda Invitationals, in the second round and Duncan Pearson, ranked two in the US under-19s last season, in the semi-finals.
He swept to a resounding 3-0 victory over Pearson, now too old for the junior divisions, in a result that will make all the top American junior players sit up and take notice.
Kyme faces a busy next three weeks, going to Philadelphia for the US Junior Open, then to Edinburgh for the Scottish Juniors and finally to Sheffield, England, for the Drysdale Cup (the British Open Juniors).
