Commissioner of Police Stephen Corbishley has referred a video showing a motorcyclist allowing a child passenger to take the handlebars while riding on a public road to the roads policing unit.

The footage appeared on the Facebook group Bad Driving Bermuda and shows the bike swerving in the road as the child takes control of the steering.

Mr Corbishley, who was referred to the page by another Facebook user, said: “Bps Pmr can we pass to the roads policing unit to investigate please.”

A poster wrote: “Letting the kid take control of your motorbike is something stupid that only fools do.

“Multiple of times that you nearly get off balance and put this little kid's life and others on the road in danger.

“If you are a father like I am, don't do this to your own child. Plain stupidity.”
