Police have warned against violence and misbehaviour on Hallowe'en next Sunday.
A Police statement released yesterday said Hallowe'en has been used as an excuse for unruly persons to inflict damage and injury on members of the community.
The statement warned that Police will be maintaining a high profile throughout the Halloween weekend in order to prevent injury to members of the community, and to prevent damage to property.
And they warned that any person wearing a mask and not taking part in a recognized costumed function, can be stopped by Police, identified, searched and details noted.

VISTOR HURT IN CRASH AC Visitor hurt in crash A woman livery cycle rider was injured in a serious accident involving her bike and two other vehicles on Sunday afternoon.
Police said they attended the accident at approximately 2.30 p.m. near Astwood Cove on South Road.
The woman sustained injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police detoured traffic travelling along South Road while the accident was investigated.
WOMAN ASSAULTS MAN CRM Woman assaults man An elderly Paget man was assaulted yesterday by a woman who demanded his money.
The complainant said he was riding his bike along Bishop Spencer Road in Pembroke when the woman blocked his path with a pedal cycle.
She demanded that he give her money, and when he refused, pushed him off his cycle.
She then began to beat, kick and scratch the man, causing cuts to both his arms. Two of several witnesses yelled from their car for the woman to stop.
The woman then reached into the car and threatened them.
Ambulance staff at the scene attended to the elderly man.
The suspect, who fled, is described as dark-skinned, wearing a beige scarf and shirt with dark coloured pants.
HYUNDAI OVERTURNS AC Hyundai overturns A black Hyundai Excel received $2,000 worth of damage when it overturned on Tamarind Vale near Harbour Road in Warwick.
Firefighters righted the car and assisted the ambulance crew.
The car received damage to the front end and roof, while the car's only occupant -- a 35-year-old Warwick resident -- received minor injuries.
Police are investigating the matter.
MAN DENIES STALKING CRM Man denies stalking A Pembroke man will stand trial next year accused of stalking a woman.
Shervin Hollis of Mount Hill, Pembroke, pleaded not guilty at Magistrates' Court to stalking Leslee Dawn Emery between January and August this year.
Senior Magistrate Will Francis granted bail to Hollis on condition that he has no contact with Ms Emery. The trial has been listed for February 17.
WALKER HAS CASH TAKEN CRM Walker has cash taken A woman paid a heavy price for accepting a lift.
She reported to Police yesterday that she was robbed in the early hours of Monday morning.
The woman said she was walking in Sandys Parish at approximately 1.45 a.m.
when a man stopped to offer her a lift in his car.
She accepted, noticing that there was another man in the front passenger seat.
When she got out of the vehicle, at the corner of Cricket Lane and Scott's Hill Road, the passenger got out of the car and grabbed an amount of cash from her pocket.
The victim gave chase, but was unable to catch the thief.
