Hood target an upset
Premier Division outfit Boulevard Blazers take on Commercial League rivals Robin Hood at BAA Field in a David verses Goliath match-up in FA Cup preliminary round action tomorrow, writes Colin Thompson.
Blazers enter the match as clear favourites but can't afford to take their opponents lightly as to date they remain the sole Commercial team to advance to the FA Cup semi-finals.
Another interesting match up sees Southampton Rangers hosting St. David's at Southampton Oval, a venue where Warriors put a slight dent in Brian (Bulla) Anderson's promotion hopes.
Elsewhere, Tuff Dogs lock horns with St. George's Colts at BAA Field in the first match of a double header while another double header at Malabar has FC Valley pitted against BAA and First Division X Roads going up against Premier Division whipping boys Ireland Rangers.
In what has been dubbed as '911 derby' at Police Field, First Division Prospect United tackle Commercial side Prospect/Fire in what should be a hard fought battle between the men in uniform. Reigning FA Cup champions Devonshire Colts received a bye.
