CONCACAF coach to run local course
next month to conduct a coaching course, much to the delight of Bermuda Football Association.
Marcos Falopa will be on the Island from June 14 to 21 to hold a Level One course which will be open to a maximum of 30 local coaches.
Bermuda is one of several countries in the Caribbean that he will be visiting to conduct similar courses.
David Sabir, General Secretary of the BFA, said the course had been designed to assist in the development of coaches at various levels throughout the Island and he hoped all of them would take full advantage of Falopa's visit.
"It's been done in such a manner that all coaches of youth and senior teams will be able to benefit as well as those in the Commercial Division, Women's Division and the First and Second Divisions. We are encouraging everybody, including school PE teachers, to make full use of this opportunity,'' said Sabir.
A minimum of 20 coaches must register in order for the course to start, and this must be completed by May 16.
Cost is $100 and a certification of participation will be issued upon completion.
Registration forms can be collected from the BFA offices on Cedar Avenue, Hamilton. Forms are also being sent to all soccer clubs and schools throughout the Island.
