Lupus symptoms
diseases. All of these factors makes diagnosing lupus very difficult.
There is no single laboratory test to determine if someone has the disease so only a careful review of a person's entire medical history and several laboratory tests related to immune status can lead to a diagnosis.
Lupus can affect any part of the body but most people only experience symptoms in a few organs. Here is a table of some of the most common symptoms of people with lupus: Achy joints; Fever over 100 degrees F (38 degrees C); Prolonged or extreme fatigue; Arthritis (swollen joints); Skin rashes; Anaemia; Kidney Involvement; Pain in the chest on deep breathing; Butterfly-shaped rash across the cheeks and nose; and Sun or light sensitivity; Source: Lupus Foundation of America.
