World's best open new look facilities
Former World Number One squash player John White is coming to Bermuda to take part in an exhibition match at the BSRA next Friday.
Widely-known as the hardest-hitter of the ball, White has enjoyed a highly successful career on the international circuit. Runner-up in the British Open and World Open in 2002, he went on to top the world rankings in March 2004. Since relocating in the USA in March 2005, he has reached eight PSA Tour finals, winning four.
White confirmed his credentials as the game's hardest-hitter in 2005 when a ball struck by his racket was clocked at 172 mph ¿ a record which has yet to be beaten.
The Scot will take on Columbian superstar Bernado Samper in the exhibition match which will officially reopen the BSRA Squash facility after some major refurbishments. These included a new and improved lounge area, bar area, spectator gallery, redesigned entrance area and air conditioning as well as newly refinished court floors.
BSRA Director of Squash Patrick Foster said "The club is looking fantastic and we are all really excited to have two of the world's top players here for a fabulous nights squash and to reveal the new-look facility to our members"
