'Remain vigilant', Police urge public after burglaries
Four burglaries took place in the western and central parishes leading the Bermuda Police Service to issue an advisory to the public.
A Police spokesperson said: "The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to advise the public to remain vigilant for suspicious individuals or activity in their neighbourhoods.
"All residents should ensure that their homes are secure before leaving them unattended, even for a short period of time."
The advisory comes after a theft took place at the A1 Supermarket in Paget sometime late on Friday night or early Saturday morning.
Police received the report at 12.45 a.m. on Saturday that a culprit entered the store premises and stole a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.
Another theft took place between Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday morning at Clear Choice Doors, Windows & Glass on Serpentine Road in Pembroke.
On this occasion, the complainant said a person gained entry to the store and stole a quantity of cash.
Two homes in Southampton were also burgled throughout last week, including one at Coral Acres Drive and another at Scenic Heights Pass.
The first burglary took place between 8 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. on Thursday, when a person gained entry into a woman's home on Coral Acres Drive, while she was out. The culprit stole a quantity of cash.
The incident at Scenic Heights Pass residence happened between 7.30 a.m. and 4.45 p.m. on Friday. The homeowner says that while they were out, someone stole their HP laptop computer.
