Athletics Championships ended with her third gold medal on Sunday.

Fisher reigned supreme in the 2,000 metres steeplechase, the first time she had ever competed in the event.

The triumph pushed Fisher's medal total to four with other golds in the 1,500 and 800 metres to go along with her silver in the 400 metres hurdles.

Yesterday she said her gold medal performance in the 1,500 metres was the most memorable of all.

"All of the women in it had competed in other races and most were medal winners. Everyone was very good.'' Fisher -- with a string of spectacular results since last October -- said she now intends to take a short break from competition after her gruelling week in Buffalo.
