Tonight's friendly against Canada will give our senior national team what is sure to be a tough workout.
Playing against so many good players, many of them pros based in Europe, will be a real test, but it will be good for our team.
Our best chance is for players to keep things as simple as possible and just do the things they're supposed to.
And if there's one thing you have to do when playing against good players, it's to minimise the space they can play in. I don't care how good you are, if someone is working hard to keep close to you, it's difficult to play and we have to be determined to close them down.
I don't know much about the Canadian players, but I have seen Jason Bent, of Colorado Rapids, play in Major League Soccer. He's an adventurous midfielder who likes to get forward.
On the domestic scene this week, we had a few shock results. For Rangers to beat Colts and for Wolves to beat Vasco were real surprises and if there had been bookies taking bets on those matches, they'd have lost a lot of money! All the results over the weekend opened the title race right up and that's good for football. It's quite boring for most people to see a team 12 or 15 points clear at the top. But when there's only a point or two in it, it helps to keep people interested. And this year, I think it will go right down to the wire.
It's also great for the players, because they know if they go out there and get a couple of good results, they can challenge for the league.
The World Club Championship sounds like it's been very interesting -- I only wish I could have seen some of it.
Manchester United found out when they lost 3-1 to Vasco da Gama on Saturday how tough it can be to play against class players and the South American style of football.
Whenever you play against a team with the likes of Edmundo and Romario, it's always going to be difficult.
