Visiting vessel heralds new cruise ship season
start of the Island's busiest season.
The Seabourn Pride made a one day visit to Bermuda while en route from Florida to the Azores.
It was the second cruise ship of the season proper, which will get into full swing next Wednesday with the arrival of regular callers Norwegian Majesty and Zenith .
There will be ships in port on weekdays and on May 12 the Island's first weekend cruise vessel will arrive for its inaugural stay.
The Crown Dynasty , from Baltimore, will call at Dockyard from Friday to Monday. Some passengers will stay in Island hotels for part of their holiday, either cruising back to the US or sailing here, and flying the other leg.
Another new vessel is the Pacific Princess , which replaces the Horizon schedule, with the Horizon taking on the route of the now departed Norwegian Crown .
Cruise ships will continue through until the end of October.
And at St. George's Penno's Wharf the luxury yacht Meduse made a call. The 200-foot vessel is four years old and carries a helicopter on the rear deck.
