Mr. Francis spotted the children and their teacher from Dellwood School in the public area of the court.

He explained how the plea court and traffic courts work in Bermuda and how more serious cases are dealt with.

Earlier Police prosecutor Sgt. Earl Kirby declined to read out obscene language from an offensive words charge because of the children's presence in court.
