Meanwhile, Meyer Agencies said the cruise ship Meridian made her second visit of the season to Dockyard on Monday evening.

She also came from Fort Lauderdale, bringing 1,006 passengers.

The ship was scheduled to leave yesterday evening.

In other shipping news, the container ship Oleander arrived ahead of schedule on Sunday, Container Ship Management reported.

The ship brought 183 containers, including 34 refrigerated containers and two trailers with eight sail boats for next month's Bermuda Boat Show at Dockyard.

Oleander also brought in four cars, a construction forklift, a large sailboat on a trailer, 45 trailers with structural steel, and the CBS mobile television unit which is being used at the XL Tennis Classic at Coral Beach. The ship left Bermuda on Tuesday with horses in its new custom-built horse containers.

Meyer reported that the Bermuda Islander arrived from Salem, New Jersey, with 74 containers, including six refrigerated containers, a horse box with two horses, an oxygen truck, and a boat.

The Somers Isles arrived on Monday, from Fernandina Beach, Florida, with 71 containers, including six refrigerated containers, seven bundles of steel, a truck, and two boats.

She was scheduled to leave today.

Meyer also reported that the car ship Marble Highway arrived at the Number Seven dock in Hamilton yesterday with 92 cars and 87 cases of spare parts.

The US Navy supply ship Strong Cajun also arrived yesterday at Marginal Wharf.

John S. Darrell reported that the USS Clark is scheduled to arrive at the Royal Naval refuelling station in Dockyard next Tuesday.

The propane tanker EMSGAS is scheduled to arrive this morning in St. George's to discharge fuel for Shell Bermuda. The tanker is scheduled to leave the Island tomorrow.
