tomorrow when they take on neighbours St. David's at Wellington Oval in their final major hurdle.

For if St. George's win to extend their unbeaten league run to 12 matches they will remain at least four points ahead of second-placed Western Stars with three matches to go against PHC, Police and Warwick in the final month of the season.

It looks certain that St. George's will replace Stars as league champions before that final match against Warwick on September 19. Whether they can complete the campaign as the only unbeaten team in the league remains to be seen, with St. David's and Police both aiming to assure it does not happen.

There is always plenty of rivalry between the east end clubs and St. St.

David's, who have a proud winning steak of seven matches in the league after a slow start to the campaign, will not be pushovers as they bid for a place in next year's Camel Cup. Like St. George's, they are also in the semi finals of the knockout cup.

While the championship issue looks a foregone conclusion, the situation with the four Camel Cup places looks like going right down to the final weekend of the season. St. George's and Stars will grab the first two places, but with just two points separating third-placed Bailey's Bay from St. David's in seventh there should be some keen matches remaining for the last two spots.

Bay take on one of the Camel Cup hopefuls, Southampton Rangers, in a match that should share top billing with the St. George's-Southampton clash. It was Rangers who dethroned knockout champions Bay at Sea Breeze Oval last month so the home team will have a score to settle. There is not much to choose between the teams, with both on 16 points and only separated by strike rate.

Cleveland, the other team on 16 points, travel to the west end to meet Somerset while Devonshire Rec are away to Warwick at Southampton Oval. Willow Cuts, with only a slim chance of qualifying for the Camel Cup for the second straight year, should not have too much trouble with Social Club at St.

John's.

Other matches see Police taking on Hamilton Parish at Police Field, Somerset Bridge entertaining PHC at White Hill and Flatts hosting Western Stars at Devonshire Rec.
