Bermuda's top junior international player Nick Kyme is back on the Island from school this weekend to defend his Bermuda Squash Racquets Association club
The third annual event, sponsored by Swiss Timing, will see teenager Kyme, the youngest player to hold the title, open his defence tomorrow at noon against the much-improved club president Eugene Bothello.
Second seed Richard Brewer, also a former champion, is drawn against veteran Barrie Mancell today at 4.00.
In the ladies A championship, Janine Bentley is the top seed following her convincing win in the recent OBM Graded Tournament. She faces Trish Ashton today at noon.
Second seed Liza Martin is scheduled to play tomorrow at 4.00 against Suzanne Rose.
A record field of 102 players have entered the tournament which is being contested at three different playing levels (A, B and C, men and ladies).
ROAD RUNNING RUN The annual Lindo's five mile road race, scheduled for tomorrow morning, has been stretched to 10 kilometres (6.2 miles).
Following a course similar to the old route, the race starts and finishes at Lindo's Market in Devonshire (9.00 a.m. walkers, 9.30 a.m. runners).
Meanwhile, the annual Pro Shop junior races will be held this morning at Police Field, Prospect, starting at 10.00.
Events are scheduled for age groups 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 and 10-12, both girls and boys.
SOCCER SOC Today's Commercial Knockout Cup match between Valley and Ireland Rangers has been put back until next Wednesday (BAA Field, 8.30 p.m.).
