Challenger's calling
Fitted Dinghy racing comes to its conclusion tomorrow with three races.
Challenger holds a five-point lead over Sandys Boat Club stablemate Echo , the only realistic contender for overall honours.
But each of the other five dinghies should be geared up for the season finale, especially with the revered Jubilee Cup listed as the closing race at 4 p.m.
Challenger had an ordinary outing on the last race day with a fourth, second and DNF.
Echo , skippered by Martin Siese while Peter Bromby was competing in the Nations Cup Grand Final in Holland, made up some ground with a second, a DNF and a victory.
Bromby is expected to give his former Olympic crew member a run for his money throughout the day, but can look back on an inconsistent mid-season should Fisher maintain the number one slot.
The day's races will be in either Hamilton Harbour or Granaway Deep depending on the wind.
The first race at 11 a.m. is for the Victory Trophy and the second at 2 p.m.
is for the Leon D. Fox Cup.
CHALLENGER -- Paul Fisher's road to the Coronation Cup will have to go through former Olympic team-mate Peter Bromby and Echo in tomorrow's season finale.
