McEnroe set to return
scheduled for April 17 to 22 at Coral Beach and Tennis Club.
McEnroe, a fan favourite during the XL Classic in December, 1993, returns to Bermuda, but this time is ranked number 51 on the ATP Tour.
McEnroe climbed the charts after an impressive triumph in the New South Wales Open in Sydney, Australia last month.
He followed that with an impressive victory over third-ranked Boris Becker in straight sets in the opening round of the Australian Open.
"We are delighted that a player of Patrick's calibre and popularity is able to join Todd Martin and Mats Wilander in the field,'' said Tournament Chairman Alec Anderson.
The $303,000 tournament is being touted as a new, important stop on the ATP tour's clay court circuit in the United States.
