Juniors selected for trip to Sri Lanka
chosen to tour Sri Lanka with an Americas Select squad for next month's Under-19 Youth World Cup.
The Bailey's Bay spinner will get another shot to play at international level after failing to play a single game while touring with Bermuda's senior national squad during the recent Red Stripe tournament in Jamaica.
The Bermuda quartet is otherwise dominated by St. David's players Landro Minors, an allrounder, and early order batsmen Chris Foggo and Oliver Pitcher.
Other members of the 14-member Americas squad will come from Canada, United States and Argentina.
"We have met with the parents and players themselves and barring any unforeseen circumstances everything looks fine for them to be our representatives,'' said Bermuda Cricket Board of Control president El James.
"It's a chance of a lifetime for the boys. There will be the best under-19s in the world playing among the 16 nations -- the future Test stars.
"There will be scouts there from universities, colleges and probably professional clubs. If our guys go there, conduct themselves well and perform well who knows what opportunities will fall their way.'' The tournament is a one-off event for the Americas squad as the region will be represented by just one country in two years' time, that team to be chosen from a regional play-off.
The Sri Lanka tournament runs from January 11-29.
